Exploiting the Next-Generation Immunodeficient Mouse BRGSF(‑HIS) in Tumor Immunology: The Dynamics of Hematopoietic and Lymphoid Cell Mobilization in the Tumor Microenvironment

September 10, 2026

Duration: 30 min

In the field of tumor immunology, preclinical models that accurately replicate the interactions between the tumor microenvironment (TME) and the human immune response are essential for conducting translational research and predictive studies on novel therapies. In this seminar, we will introduce the utility of the genO-BRGSF-HIS model, in which both human lymphoid and myeloid cells are fully reconstituted following CD34+ hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.

Content

▶️ Reconstruction of functional human myeloid and lymphoid cell compartments in the genO-BRGSF-HIS model, including γδ T cells and NK cells

▶️ Mobilization of various immune cells into the TME depending on tumor type and burden

▶️ The utility of the genO-BRGSF-HIS model in evaluating the efficacy and mechanisms of action of immunotherapies

Speaker

Shizuka Wada, PhD in Immunology, is a Translational Scientist at genOway Japan. She completed her Ph.D. in the Department of Biological Science, Immunobiology at Tokyo University of Science in 2016. From 2017 to 2024, she worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the National Institutes of Health in the United States. Her research focused mainly on T-cell function and TCR signaling mechanisms in autoimmune diseases and the tumor microenvironment.
