Ultimate predictability to bridge the gap between preclinical research and clinical success
Over 95% of drug candidates fail during clinical trials. One of the key reasons: preclinical models often fail to predict how drugs will behave in humans. Even if two models look similar or have the same humanized gene, their ability to predict human outcomes can be radically different. This is why choosing the right preclinical model is critical to generating reliable data.
At genOway, we focus on delivering ultimate predictability by developing models that better reflect human biology and help to generate more translatable preclinical data We have developed a portfolio of physiologically relevant mouse models, validated in collaboration with biopharma partners, to evaluate immunotherapies in oncology, inflammation, and autoimmune diseases before they advance to clinical trials.
They have contributed to the evaluation of therapies such as Opdivo® and are used by leading biopharma companies to advance innovative immunotherapies to the clinic.

Clinical trials for a VISTA-targeting compound (JNJ 61610588) were suspended after cytokine release syndrome (CRS), a safety risk that preclinical models failed to detect. This risk could have been anticipated earlier with genOway’s CD34+ reconstituted model (genO-BRGSF-HIS), enabling a different decision before entering the clinic. The same model also accurately predicted the clinical success of a novel anti-VISTA antibody (SNS-101).

17 of the top 20 pharma companies use genOway’s models to advance their programs.

With production capabilities and a commercial presence across major regions, genOway supports biopharmaceutical innovation worldwide, combining global reach with local proximity to provide easy access to our models.
