Humanization of Target Genes
Humanized models have become a gold standard for physiological studies, disease models and NCE / biologics assessment.
The generation of a humanized mouse model involves the substitution of the mouse gene (which is then deleted) by the human one. These models currently represent the main type of models used by the pharmaceutical industry.
Humanized models mimic more closely the human situation than wild-type models and consequently provide scientists with more predictable and reliable scientific data.
