CGA encodes the common alpha subunit of glycoprotein hormones such as TSH, LH, and FSH, and is expressed in endocrine cells of the anterior pituitary. It plays a central role in hormonal regulation and endocrine signaling. The Cga-CreERT2 mouse line enables inducible, temporal control of genetic recombination in Cga-expressing endocrine cells following tamoxifen administration. This model is suitable for studying pituitary function, hormonal regulation, and endocrine disorders.
